Director Growth

To give leadership to a team venturing into a new business opportunity of a well-established company in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate to possess extensive knowledge and experience in international markets and the ability to drive an innovation centric business segment. The Ideal candidate should possess and will develop the overall business strategy, including but not limited to positioning, brand awareness, lead generation, public relations, and also be responsible for manufacturing of product. The candidate will also be responsible for creating tools for lead and revenue generation, processes to improve efficiencies, and optimise product and go-to-market strategies. The Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibilities, developing, implementing and managing the operational aspects of the business. Must be a strong leader with the ability to drive marketing activities on a company- wide basis for all product lines, capable of establishing and implementing strategic and tactical plans, and accountable for results and driving product developments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build, lead and develop the organisation, fostering an environment that attracts and retains superior talent
  • Oversee the creation, production, development, execution, analysis and management of lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns
  • Liaise and collaborate closely with upper-management team to drive toward company-wide goals and retain focus on business strategy
  • Provide leadership and drive strategic direction
  • Develop & deliver product positioning & messaging
  • Develop strategic alliances, win and grow major customer accounts, and achieve revenue targets
  • Introduce new marketing ideas, channels and tactics to help scale the business
  • Understand the customer journey and drive ways to improve the lead-to-customer experience
  • Contribute to our thought leadership through content and presentations 
  • Set and lead event strategies, policies, standards, direction and goals
  • Manage functional budgets

Qualifications

  • Degree in marketing, Engineering, business administration, or a related area. MBA or Masters in Engineering preferred
  • 10 – 15 years marketing management experience (sports related apparel is a plus) with notable experience leading strategic marketing, product development, operations lead generation and branding (5+ years of leadership experience in a growth role is a plus)
  • Demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing business strategies and plans for products and services
  • Experience working in a fast paced startup environment
  • Demonstrated creativity in finding and implementing new means and methods for market penetration and lead generation
  • Analytical mindset with ability to solve complex problems
  • Willingness to be accountable for business deliverables and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with customers, senior executives, sales teams, and business partners
  • Proven ability using data and analytics to inform and influence decision-making
  • Entrepreneurial and analytical; effective at managing change in a fast-moving and constantly evolving business
